You're right - we did say that. We're sorry for the confusion, but sometimes plans change. The decision to leave Whitefish wasn't easy - this is the town that built this business. When everything fell into place to buy the space in the Odd Fellows Building, we knew it was the right thing to do. It's bigger, brighter, and has easier parking. We're hoping you'll stick with us during (and after) the move. The best part of this business has always been (and will always be) the people!
Here's What Happened
Recently, the building Runner Up Sports has been in for the last 31 years sold. The new owners were EXTREMELY generous and gave us the option to stay at fair rates for the next few years. While we discussed the details for staying, an option came up to purchase a space in Columbia Falls. We couldn't pass up that opportunity. And so, we're starting a new chapter for Runner Up Sports. Still the same gear, same rates, same everything - just a new address. Come visit us in the Odd Fellows Building in Columbia Falls!
When?
We are working like crazy to get the space ready in Columbia Falls! Here is the timeline for our move from Whitefish and opening in Columbia Falls:

If you don't want us to sell your gear in Columbia Falls, the deadline to pick it up is also July 13th

Whitefish location will be open until July 31st

Columbia Falls location opens August 1st

Grand Opening Party in Columbia Falls is August 15th
And every day after that? It's business as usual: the best deals on used and new gear this side of the Mississippi. Come and get 'em!
What's happening with my gear?
Your consigned gear will be available for sale in Whitefish until July 13, 2025, and then it will be moved to our new store in Columbia Falls, where it will also be for sale. If you would prefer to pick up your gear, that's totally fine too. Please come to the shop and pick it up by 7/13. If we still have it on 7/14, we'll move it to Columbia Falls with us. This new location is epic, and your gear is going to look great in there! We will start accepting new consignments now and will accept consignments in the Columbia Falls location as soon as it opens on August 1st.
